The Department of Biotechnology offers a 4 Year B.Tech Biotechnology Programme which is affiliated to Anna University. Modern biotechnology provides tremendous scope for developing new products and technologies which find positive applications in wide variety of fields. Biotechnology has made significant advances in recent years and emerged as a frontline area of research and development, with a great impact on the society. The course and curriculum has been designed and updated regularly by interacting with research scientists and industry personnel to meet the requirements of biotechnology industries.

Program Outcomes

1. Engineering Knowledge
An ability to apply the knowledge of basic mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals in the area of biotechnology, such as Biochemical engineering, Genetic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Separation Technology etc.
