Department of Biotechnology organized a guest lecture titled “Mushroom Cultivation for an Entrepreneur” on 18.11. 2023. The esteemed chief guest for this event was Dr. K. Gilbert Ross Rex, an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Vivekananda College of Engineering for women. During his address, Dr. K. Gilbert Ross Rex delved into the various steps, methods, stages and challenges involved in cultivating mushroom. He also provided insights into the fundamental requirements for successful cultivation. Additionally, he shared innovative ideas to enhance the understanding of mushroom production as an entrepreneurial endeavour, thereby creating employment opportunities within emerging industries and commercial units. The students had the opportunity to interact with the chief guest, leaving them inspired and motivated.
