TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM “SYMITEC 2K’ 20” was organized by the Department of Information Technology on 07.02.2020 in Seminar Hall II. Symposium activities were inaugurated with the prayer song and by lighting the kuthuvilakku. Dr.E.Punarselvam, Head of the Department welcomed the gathering. Thiru.S.Hariharan, Student Secretary introduced the chief guest Mr. V. Krishna Kumar, Associate Director, Corporate Security, Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), Chennai. Honorable Secretary, Dr.K.Gunasekaran delivered the presidential address. Joint Secretary, Er.G.Rahul, METRF addressed a special note to the students about the importance of conducting co-curricular events. Our beloved Principal, Dr.M.Madheswaran delivered the principal address and honoured the chief guest with the bouquet and a memento. The chief guest highlighted the importance of data security, the expectations of companies from engineering students and the steps to improve the skill sets to compete in the IT industry. He thanked the college, department, staff members and students for their effort in making the event a great success. Various events were conducted and prizes were given to the participants. Selvan S.Gowtham, Joint Student Secretary proposed the vote of thanks and the function ended with the National Anthem.
