India Design Week 2024 Organized by ICT Academy in Association with Autodesk

We are also proud to announce that our Final Year Mechanical Engineering Students Team (Hariesh Jainth IV Year Mechanical Engineering, V Elango IV Year Mechanical Engineering) of Muthayammal Engineering College have received an award “Best Social Impact Idea Award 2024”.

ICT Academy, in association with Autodesk presents “India Design Week 2024”, hosted by Sairam Institutions, Chennai. A design event for young “creators of tomorrow” looking to unleash the Power of Design and contribute towards the furtherance of ecosystem.

This edition had the theme “Smart Waterbody Garbage Collector” with an objective of waterbody garbage collectors is to mitigate pollution by removing trash and debris from aquatic environments and to prevent harmful substances from entering the food chain and damaging ecosystems.

The event was conducted in a “24 Hour Design Challenge” format where the garbage in water bodies can pose health risk to humans, such as through contaminated water or sea food and accumulated debris can create breeding ground for pest like mosquitoes & other bacteria which may increase the risk of waterborne diseases.
