Department of Biotechnology and Department of Biomedical jointly organized a Symposium titled SYMBIOCHEMED2K22. The Resource person was Dr. S. Ashok , Managing Director, Saravana Hospitals, Salem. He delivered interesting lecture on medicines and life saving devices.

He discussed the schemes and opportunities provided by the government for promoting entrepreneurs under Make in India Scheme and discussed about the production of biomaterials and artificial organs.

He discussed about the problem identification skills and problem solving methodologies. The Symposium was very interesting and useful to the students
