Muthayammal Engineering College’s Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has organized a six-day faculty development program on AI and Machine Learning for Chip Design in the Thrust area of Semiconductor Design and Development. This program was sponsored by the AICTE Training and Learning ATAL Academy. The FDP was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr C. Periyasamy, Associate Professor from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut. Also, he delivered a talk on Design and Development of Electronic Devices for Sensor Applications. A total of 50 faculty members from various institutions across different states actively participated in this FDP. During the FDP, Resource Persons from IITs, NITs and Other Universities delivered talks on various topics such as Semiconductor Devices, Chip Design concepts using CMOS and CNT, Reinforcement Learning Applications in VLSI Chip Design, Fuzzy Logic, Genetic Algorithms and Deep Learning Algorithms for Chip Design and EDA Tools.
