A Guest Lecture was organized by the Department of English at Muthayammal Engineering College. Dr. K.N. Shoba, an Associate Professor from the Department of Education at NITTTR, Taramani, Chennai, delivered a presentation on “Professional Communication for Engineering students.” During her presentation, she focused on teaching our students the essential skills of communication, known as LSRW skills, which are crucial for a successful engineering career. Dr. Shoba emphasized the importance of active learning in professional communication and highlighted that programs in this field also cover subjects such as business ethics, negotiation, and advertising. She provided our students with eight Communication Techniques that Engineering Leaders need to succeed. Furthermore, she stressed the significance of strong communication skills in promoting collaboration, streamlining decision-making processes, and fostering a harmonious work environment.
