The Department of Mechanical Engineering & Centre for Research and Development organized the Industry – Institute Research Meet on Industry 5.0 – IIRI 2025 conference, held during Feb 4-6, 2025, focused on Industry 5.0, exploring Virtual Factory and Industrial Metaverse. Sponsored by Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), it brought together academics and industry experts to discuss how advanced technologies like AI, robotics and the metaverse can drive human-centric, sustainable industrial development. Key discussions revolved around emerging trends, challenges, and the integration of technology with a focus on worker well-being and environmental sustainability. The conference also fostered collaborative projects, the development of industry standards and stronger industry-academia partnerships to accelerate innovation.
