The Department of Biotechnology hosted a guest lecture titled “Exploring the Ph.D. Frontier: Insights for Tomorrow’s Researchers” on October 26, 2023. Dr. Muralidharan Murugan, M.Tech., Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Gnanamani College of Technology, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
In his address, the chief guest delved into the various opportunities available for students to secure funding for research and highlighted the career prospects for biotechnology students in research laboratories. Additionally, he provided valuable insights on pursuing doctoral studies abroad.
The chief guest also shed light on the initiatives undertaken by the state government to enhance students’ practical knowledge and skill set. The students had the opportunity to interact with the chief guest, which left them inspired.
