Workshop on Basics of Written Communication

The Department of English of Muthayammal Engineering College (Autonomous), conducted a workshop on the topic “21st Century Skills, Opportunities and Challenges for Engineers” for the I Year B.E.and B.Tech students on 24.06.2022. The Chief Guest, Dr.V.Saravanan, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, addressed and motivated the students.

The Chief Guest gave a detailed presentation on Engineering education which strives constantly to keep pace with the advances and in particular the contribution of engineering to the global opportunities and challenges. He also explained the supports and changes in business and policies. He added the skills necessary for current and future engineers to maintain and sustain many crucial aspects of our lives. He also added about the talents required to be a successful engineer include a combination of both hard and soft skills.

Mrs.N.Nasrath Banu, HoD / English, welcomed the gathering. Dr.G.Sudarmozhi, Dean of Student Affairs, Muthayammal Engineering College (Autonomous), felicitated the gathering. The First Year students of B.E. Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Cyber Security, actively participated in it. Mr. M.Karthi., Assistant Professor of English Department, introduced the Chief Guest to all the participants.

Mrs.K.Helen, Assistant Professor of English, proposed the vote of thanks. The workshop ended pleasantly with Faculty members and students’ cooperation and enthusiasm.
