The Department of Mathematics at Muthayammal Engineering College organized a Seminar on Engineering Mathematics for the GATE Examination. The seminar focused on the different aspects of the GATE exam, which aims to evaluate students’ proficiency in Engineering and Science fields. The GATE Exam is specifically designed to assess students’ knowledge and understanding of undergraduate engineering and science subjects. Those who qualify for the GATE Exam in any engineering subject are eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in CSIR Laboratories. Performing well in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) increases the chances of being accepted into an M.E/M.Tech program. Additionally, IISc and IITs consider GATE scores for PhD admissions and provide financial support in terms of stipends and travel grants.
