The Department of Biomedical Engineering, in association with BMESI of Muthayammal Engineering College, organized a seminar on “Vital Role of Biomedical Engineer in Hospital.”
The seminar was delivered by Ms. R. Benacir, Biomedical Engineer, Ammani Hospital, Salem. She highlighted the crucial role of biomedical engineers in ensuring the reliable functioning of medical equipment, reducing risks to patients and healthcare staff, and improving the overall quality of patient care. She also emphasized how biomedical engineers support clinical staff through training and technical assistance for proper device usage, ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and contribute to improved hospital accreditation and trust. Additionally, the session discussed the role of biomedical engineers in facilitating technology integration and innovation, enabling the adoption of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic systems in hospitals.
