The Department of Biotechnology hosted the 7th National Level Technical Symposium, BIOVISTA – 2K25, on 12-08-25. The keynote speaker was Dr.K.Manjula, Chief Executive Officer of BioTechno Solutions Training and Research Institute in Trichy.
She delivered a guest lecture on “Flavonoids: An Essential Component in Neutraceuticals for the Prevention of Urolithiasis.” The expert discussed kidney stone formation, as well as diagnosis and treatment methodologies. Students from various institutions across the state participated in the event, engaging with the speaker and enhancing their knowledge in the field of phyto-pharmaceuticals.
The symposium featured several technical events, including paper presentations, poster presentations, and a technical quiz. Prizes and cash awards were awarded to the winners. This symposium provided an excellent opportunity for valuable networking, collaboration, and the generation of innovative ideas for future biotechnological research.
