Department of Information Technology, established in the Academic year 2001-2002, is having outstanding and dedicated faculty members. It has well equipped laboratories with 120 computer systems, Internet facilities and well stocked collection of books in the exclusive department library for the students. National, International journals and magazines are being subscribed to enrich the knowledge of students. The department was affiliated permanently by the Anna University. The Information Technology course provides a comprehensive view in the world of IT Sectors including Internet Applications and design, as well the traditional opportunities in Software Career.. Web applications require enormous knowledge of several components like web servers, web protocols and to use the web application tools besides OOPS concept. The information technologists have such great opportunities in software development industries. In addition, certification and value added courses in the areas of Networking, Cloud Computing, Web Technology, Information Systems, C #and .Net and Artificial Intelligence are also offered.

I. Need analysis and design of new technologies

The use of current application software; Graduates able to design, analysis, testing of computer application for the use in information, Engineering and technologies.

II. Design of embedded system

Design the computer and information based system consists of digital electronics components, electrical components and micro controller devices effectively used for applications of microcomputer systems, telecommunications and digital signal propagation needed in data transport.

III. Database administration

Design database system with data mining, warehousing and data security by using big data and advanced security techniques and tools.

IV. Integrated computer science project

An ability to evaluate and manage integrated Information Technology project and documentation of substantial scope.
